A seasoned professional with more than nine of years of experience dedicated to the Information Technology (IT) sector, David Gillies, joined Kern Consultants in 2009, after earning his expertise marketing and selling professional IT services.

After a successful stint in technology sales, where he marketed products ranging from networking and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to software solutions, David entered the search industry where he could focus on his primary strength — creating long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

David utilizes a strong network, built during his many years in the technology industry, to streamline the talent selection process. In addition to his ability to research and locate top industry talent, not just “place holders,” he understands how to recruit top performers from clients’ competitors when necessary.

David specializes in the recruitment of problem solvers who can lead organizations to greater heights or help pull a troubled one to its feet.

A native Houstonian David earned a BS degree in Microbiology from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) and an MBA from Texas A&M International University.
